3D PRINTING

3D printing is a revolutionary technology helping you bring
your digital creations into the physical world
MEET THE EXPERT

SAM DAY
Hello, I’m one of the 3D techs here at the Makerspace.I manage and maintain the FDM printers in the space and run regular inductions. For work, I am a photographer for Tate; I hope to explore the use of 3D printing as a tool in conservation and restoration of artworks.
At the Makerspace we encourage all aspects of 3D printing. Learning 3D design and bringing your objects into the real world is a gratifying process. It is both user friendly for younger makers whilst also being invaluable for rapid prototyping complex designs. We have designed the area with reliable, easy to use machines, enabling you to print with a wide range of materials. We can make highly detailed miniatures for table-top gaming with our resin printers, dimensionally accurate engineering prototypes with our Bambu systems and larger scale models and designs with our custom built Voron 2.4.
